Antonio Bardino. Il respiro delle piante

Antonio Bardino. Il respiro delle piante

Casa Cavazzini Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Udine is pleased to present Antonio Bardino's solo show The Breath of Plants, curated by Daniele Capra.
The exhibition brings together around fifteen works on canvas created by Bardino
The project - created in partnership with the Department of Culture and the Department of Health of the Municipality of Udine - is unique in the exhibition panorama of our country and arises from a synergy between institutions thanks to which contemporary art and collective participation come together of students. The breath of plants consists, in fact, of an exhibition and a program of collaborations that puts students at the centre. The event is the first episode of Future Life, the project that in the coming years will be developed within the museum's new project room, located on the first floor of the building. It will consist of a series of personal exhibitions of the most representative artists of contemporary creativity who will be asked to deal with the themes proposed by the UN Agenda 2030. The selected artists will be asked to work by focusing on the 17 objectives identified by the document, in terms of environmental sustainability and socioeconomic well-being. The exhibition brings together around fifteen works on canvas created by Bardino in recent years which have as their theme houseplants and the presence of the vegetal element in highly anthropic contexts. The exhibition investigates the vitality of nature and its silent, but vital and overflowing presence, which seems to escape human control. The plants painted by Bardino become lush pieces of vegetal landscape, unexpected and wild clippings of nature housed in the captivity of the domestic walls. The works will be hosted both at Casa Cavazzini (in the project room on the first floor and in the apartment) and in the Aula Magna of the Stellini.
