Twenty-seven light boxes project Exploring the miniature for several years, Frédéric Beauchamp invites us to enter a fantastical universe, tiny, strange and fascinating. In a theatrical staging, we have fun looking at small narrative scenes installed in light boxes, made to dream, and that one can take home.
The waters rose for forty days, covering the land and the mountains.
All living things, except Noah and his ark, take refuge in small boats of fortune,
drifting on the waves.
The rafts then become the scene where the shipwrecked, alone in the world and isolated, may see their last hour coming.
They are overwhelmed by exacerbated and contradictory feelings: some start to pray, others tear each other apart or get closer, protect themselves, others have nightmarish visions, hallucinate, revisiting their lost paradise...

Fréderic Beauchamp
"Who among us has never given in to the hope of meeting his dreams after dark? Frédéric Beauchamp lives in this strange world. A multitude of tiny beings populate his apartment. Artist, he decided to give birth to the chimeras that his double, an entomologist, then collects. The naturalist’s fingers do not merely pin nature’s work in a box, they crush it and transform it. "
