VISTA POINT

It is in our nature to roam, travel afar, and adventure to new lands. Artists David T. Kessler, Travis Rice, Jim Waid and Hiro Yokose bring their explorations of landscape directly to us, brushstroke by brushstroke.
All four artists transport us to new destinations along excitingly different journeys in paint.
It is in our nature to roam, travel afar, and adventure to new lands. Artists David T. Kessler, Travis Rice, Jim Waid and Hiro Yokose bring their explorations of landscape directly to us, brushstroke by brushstroke. Kessler’s idyllic waters ripple through the illusionistic space of brushed aluminum. The natural shapes of desert rock formations transform into their colorfully-faceted doppelgängers on Rice’s canvases. Waid’s expressionistic scenes, alive with vibrant mark-making, place the viewer directly within nature, its brush and bramble, the lushness of leaves and blooms. And, the dreamlike and misty vistas of Yokose’s encaustic works are an open invitation to meditate on the vastness and tranquility of distant shorelines. All four artists transport us to new destinations along excitingly different journeys in paint.
