Keisuke Azuma, a promising young graduate, whose intuitive abstract expression expands his creative horizons, allowing his art to embrace diverse perspectives
'' Some project their childhood memories, while others recall what they saw in the woods yesterday. Nature is a neutral space where people can find themselves. This is how I want my works to reside in people's hearts. ''
Keisuke Azuma is a Japanese abstract painter based in London, UK. Central to his practice is an appreciation for the beauty of nature and the relationship between humans and nature. Azuma believes that everyone has a special place in nature and encourages viewers to actively engage with his paintings. He invites people to project their own interpretations onto the canvas, allowing them to discover and connect with their inner selves. Azuma’s work strikes a balance between expression and intention, attracting attention and resonating with viewers on an emotional level, providing an embodied experience of reminiscence. To deepen this emotional connection, he occasionally integrates other media into his work. His strength lies in expanding the creative process through dialogues with others, which enables him to broaden his creative horizons and make his art more accessible. The primary objective of Azuma’s practice is to create a space within the art that encourages viewers to engage in introspective dialogue with themselves. Drawing from his Japanese cultural aesthetic, Azuma shapes his works to engage the viewer's sensitivity and subjectivity. He graduated from the University of the Arts London and was selected for ‘7 London Grads to Watch’ in FAD magazine. Recently, He has exhibited at Liliya Art Gallery, D Contemporary, and ‘Wood Wide Web’ curated by Vittoria Beltrame.

‘’The core of my practice is natural elements, such as forests. Everyone has a special place in nature. I am fascinated by how my works can transform and resonate within the viewer's psychological realm. Some project their childhood memories, while others recall what they saw in the woods yesterday. Nature is a neutral space where people can find themselves. This is how I want my works to reside in people's hearts. ‘’
