Kimura, whose work has consistently sold out at art fairs and group exhibitions, will present around 40 new pieces in this highly anticipated show.

The exhibition title "VIS VIVA FLORA*" reflects the strength and beauty of life that Kayoko Kimura imbues into her floral motifs. This vitality of life brings with it the inevitable awareness of its end, expressing universal themes such as "time," "life," "death," and the "universe" that encompass them all—concepts we all experience in fleeting moments. The profound depth created by layering multiple coats of various paints, contrasted with the intricate, vibrant depictions of flowers, results in a deeply captivating charm that resonates the more one contemplates it. "VIS VIVA" = "The Force of Life," "FLORA" = "Flower" or "Goddess of Flowers." Additionally, her first art book, FLORAISON: Kayoko Kimura Art Collection, will be released by Nippo Publishing on November 7, 2024. In a special collaboration with the historic Italian fragrance brand Santa Maria Novella, this exhibition will also offer a luxurious moment surrounded by the scent of flowers.
