Huxley-Parlour are delighted to announce a new exhibition of works by Catherine Repko, opening at the gallery’s Project Space in December 2024. The exhibition will present twenty new works made on panel and paper that focus on figuration. Stars Rise, Moths Flutter takes its title from a poem by Irish poet Eavan Boland, and alludes to the ephemerality of fleeting moments which Repko seeks to cement in her compositions.
Catherine Repko’s current practice explores the relationship between the artist and her three sisters. Intimate and poignant, Repko’s work examines familial bonds, identity and humanity, examining both the literal and figurative space between sisters – through time and distance, childhood to adulthood.
