Vanni Rocca describes his work with these words:
This piece is part of the Artistic Route series, a journey along the roads of Western Europe, narrated through the faces of people encountered along the way.
Artistic Route are works destined by fate.
She is the girl from Bordeaux, met on a fresh April evening. It may seem fleeting to portray the face of a person one may never encounter again. Yet, it is equally compelling that a chance encounter has given life to a piece that will endure forever.
In this artwork, Vanni Rocca depicts a Sardinian woman wearing a traditional headpiece from the Sarule region. Rocca himself eloquently describes this painting:
"The headpiece, with its singular uniqueness, does not extend into common lengths but boldly interrupts at the neck, challenging conventions with a cut that gives rise to a play of full shapes and empty spaces.
It's a stylistic insight that speaks the language of Sarule, that village which carries the essence of a proud and distinct tradition. Here, the attire is not simply worn but almost sculpted, a unique form that molds itself onto the individual, as if carved by time."

Walking through the streets of this Dutch town, one is surprisingly struck by the complete absence of iron bars on the windows for house protection. Large windows timidly line the streets of red brick, like open spaces into the lives of other, unknown people who fearlessly reveal themselves to the world.
This unexpected sensation brings to mind the intimate beauty of those who, without any filter, ulterior motives, or fear, open themselves to the world, showing themselves for who they are. There are people whose eyes allow you to see inside. There are people like the girl from Eindhoven.
Vanni Rocca describes his work with these words:
There are women who have lived extraordinarily intense lives and have left profound marks of their passage on our world. Lives often brief, marked by great passions and courageous choices. Lives that are themselves works of art of incredible beauty.
This series of artworks, "Icons," is dedicated to these celebrities. Marilyn Monroe is arguably the woman who embodies the meaning of an icon more than any other. The first piece in this series is dedicated to her.

This series of artworks, "Icons," is dedicated to these celebrities. Frida Kahlo is undoubtedly the person who is an icon for her womanhood. The first piece in this series is dedicated to her.
In this artwork, Vanni Rocca depicts a Sardinian woman wearing a traditional headpiece from the Campidano region.
Rocca himself eloquently describes this painting:
"My interpretation of the traditional dress of Campidano is a small-scale work that tells a story of history, culture, and belonging in red and gold."

This series of artworks, "Icons," is dedicated to these celebrities. Amy Winehouse is arguably the youngest musical icon. The first piece in this series is dedicated to her.

On the banks of the Hunte, at the exact point where the large lock regulates the slow navigation of huge barges, tall trees adorn the avenue leading to the center of Oldenburg. In this place, at this time, the days are extremely long, almost as if the hours were stretching, and the sunsets with their shades of purple seem to linger in time.
In this artwork, Vanni Rocca depicts a Sardinian woman wearing a traditional headpiece from the Escalaplano region. Rocca himself eloquently describes this painting:
"There exists a version of the traditional dress of Escalaplano that features a dark scarf tied behind the nape. I adore its shape, its cut, its uncommon lines. I believe that every traditional dress has enchanting aspects. I believe that the sense of belonging is all the deeper when one feels at home in every corner of our extraordinary island."
Vanni Rocca describes his work with these words:
A family that has left its mark on the history of humanity, yet embodies a profoundly unsettling contemporaneity. A mother stands before the cross, while her son steadfastly pursues his ideals, his mission on earth. A father who loves and supports his son.
In this canvas, a Mother of Christ is portrayed in her most intimate humanity, with a heart undoubtedly devastated by sorrow as she stands before the cross bearing her only son, while he, with firm determination, fulfills his earthly destiny.
It depicts one of the most challenging tasks for a parent: on one hand, the instinct to protect their children from the world's evils, and on the other, the unavoidable need to let them go, to allow them to flourish as human beings, as individuals endowed with the freedom to choose, to err, to fulfill their own destiny. In this mother lies the entire universe of every parent, suspended between the desire to embrace and the duty to let go.
Vanni Rocca describes his work with these words:
A family that has marked the history of humanity, yet at the same time embodies a profoundly current relevance. A mother stands before the cross, while her son steadfastly carries forward his ideals, his mission on earth. A father who loves and supports his child.
This artwork portrays the sacred bond of guardianship, that silent yet powerful and binding pact of those who choose to become a reference and refuge for another, more fragile being.
Vanni Rocca describes his work with these words:
Monsoons are winds that mark the seasons, winds of strength and power.
I love to observe the horses that, like these winds, pass impetuously over our land, while their hooves sink into sudden explosions of dust.
Destiny seems to pause for a moment, enchanted by this image of supreme strength and innate elegance, before resuming its relentless, naturally wild course.
Vanni Rocca describes his work with these words:
Grecale is a piece inspired by the mysterious allure that horses evoke in those privileged enough to admire them. This painting pays homage to the elegance and beauty of a free spirit capable of traversing time and space.
This work embodies an ancestral elegance and untamed freedom that resonates in the lands of Sardinia, an island of whispers and ancient winds. It speaks the universal language of the planet, guiding the soul on a journey into the purest and wildest essence of nature. Grecale is the narrative of a free spirit, whose interpretation is almost a mystical passage between worlds, a bridge between the eternal flow of life and the immutable serenity of time.
Vanni Rocca describes his work with these words:
Horses, like the winds, run freely, caressing a wild land. The light illuminates the dust clouds that fill the air with delicate golden glimmers.
And you cannot help but admire the perfection in a moment of wonderful and unstoppable beauty.
