Aiko creates her works with the hope that trivial daily events and scenes will always be in the center of one's heart. She hopes that through her paintings, people will feel the importance of things that always exist in our daily lives.

A few years ago, I visited Takayama and had the chance to witness the evening festival (Yoi Matsuri). I was deeply moved by the craftsmanship, wisdom, pride, and rich emotion that are woven into this Japanese tradition. It is a festival both beautiful and majestic.

Reflecting on those memories now, I felt inspired to paint the Yoi Matsuri. I used watercolor techniques, especially the gradation (bokashi) method, to capture the essence of the night. With a focus on creating a transparent and ethereal atmosphere, I painted with bold strokes to convey the spirit of the festival.

I hope this artwork allows you to feel the ambiance and beauty of the evening festival.(yoko.t)

Kumi has been painting every day, aiming to create works that will remain in one's memory. In recent years, she has been painting landscapes with the theme of ‘rain.’ The sky is covered with clouds, and the raindrops that fall touch many people and objects, and ascend back to the sky - she thinks this cycle, similar to reincarnation, is interesting. She paints imagining if rain, which is a material but can be visible or invisible, has colors and shapes.

Haruka paints memories and emotions from the past in color. She wants to record forgotten everyday life, nostalgic memories and emotions in her paintings. She wants to create a color scheme that is pleasant to look at, so that the viewer can feel the atmosphere and vitality in the realistic depiction.
