Ayaha aims to create artworks that will moisten people's hearts and minds, like the refreshing cold water you drink when you are very thirsty.
Kayo usually paints abstract paintings. In addition to creating the works, she holds DialogueDrawing, an art session in which she draws a live painting of the person in front of her through dialogue. She asks the person to tell her what colors and words they are interested in, and from there, she expresses the person at that moment.
"The one thing that runs through all my work is synesthesia. I think there are things that are actually invisible to us. For example, a person says something like this, but no one knows what they actually think about it, or a politician says something like this, but who knows what they actually think about it. I use oil paints to express these emotional things vividly." Woka
Kotaro wants to paint beautiful natural landscapes and things that resonate with her, following her instincts and painting honestly as she sees them. She also strives to express the beauty of the materials she uses.
Julo the Chihuahua hates to be left at home.
Why do you lock him up in the gauge?
Why don't you spend more time with me?
Juro puts his hand on the fence and desperately pleads that he doesn't want to be left at home.
It is like a prisoner in a mass, and I feel sorry for him.
Yuki – Artist Introduction
Yuki, an artist from Ehime Prefecture currently based in Tokyo, has gained recognition for her captivating works, including her recent exhibitions such as “Garden” at Cosmos Gallery in December 2022, “Small Paintings” at GALLERY IRO in January 2023, and being selected for the “Japanese Nature Exhibition” in August 2023.
Inspiration for Painting
Although Yuki initially explored oil and pastel painting as a student, she stepped away from art after entering the workforce. In 2021, she discovered Japanese painting and became enamored with the beauty of mineral pigments and silver leaf. The vibrant colors of the mineral pigments inspired her to begin creating Japanese-style paintings, drawing from memories of the small wildflowers she encountered as a child, the tranquil seas of the Seto Inland Sea, and the nostalgic hues of sunsets.
Artistic Themes
Yuki’s art is centered around two primary themes: flowers and colors.
Flowers: Yuki expresses her interpretation of seasonal landscapes by combining her personal sensibilities with the air and essence of the flowers that bloom in fields and gardens. She seeks to evoke the atmosphere surrounding these flowers—the wind, the scent in the air, the warmth of sunlight, and the fleeting nature of the seasons.
Colors: Yuki is deeply fascinated by the power of colors, particularly shades of blue, purple, and the ever-changing hues of silver leaf depending on the light and time of day. She also explores abstract art, where colors convey emotions—whether calming, uplifting, or reminiscent of distant memories—aiming to evoke a sense of quiet strength.
Creative Process
Yuki often finds herself inspired to paint when flowers begin to bloom in her garden. During the winter, when fewer flowers are in season, she shifts her focus to creating abstract works.
Future Aspirations
Yuki aims to continue creating art that brings even a small sense of comfort and healing to those who encounter her work in their daily lives.

Kumi has been painting every day, aiming to create works that will remain in one's memory.
In recent years, she has been painting landscapes with the theme of ‘rain.’ The sky is covered with clouds, and the raindrops that fall touch many people and objects, and ascend back to the sky - she thinks this cycle, similar to reincarnation, is interesting. She paints imagining if rain, which is a material but can be visible or invisible, has colors and shapes.
When we look at &lemon’s works with an understanding of the background of his creative process, the meaning of each work emerges even in abstract expressions.
(1) Contemporary social issues conveyed through contingency and geometry
Combining "contingency," which utilizes the flow of liquid and paint, and "geometry," which can be completely controlled, the works convey modern social issues through the theme of the contrast between the beauty of nature and modern society.
(2) Psychological feelings of viewers
Works that give vitality to the viewers with the theme of psychological feelings (healing, excitement, courage, etc.) that can be obtained from art.
(3) Creation as guided by his own sensitivity
Works that give form to images in his mind on the theme of the changing things in nature (especially water, light, and shadow).
He aims to create works that make people feel calm, that they can empathize with, that they can imagine dreams about, and first of all, that he himself is satisfied with.
