Norma de Saint Picman: Souvenirs de Paris

Noravision Gallery is pleased to present 'Norma de Saint Picman: Souvenirs de Paris', an online exhibition showcasing a series of works on paper produced in 2003. De Saint Picman moves between Paris and Ljubljana having worked, lived and studied in both cities. This presentation is an homage to the particularly rich moment in her production and one that marked an important moment in her artistic maturation.
"If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast." Ernest Hemingway
Norma de Saint Picman is an internationally renowned visual artist working in painting, graphics, sculpture, ceramics and intermedia art. The artist created her own mainly figurative postmodern style which consists of works on paper - etchings, lithographs during her Paris period through working in aquarelles, oil paintings and, more recently, digital graphics, polyester, ceramic sculpture and video installations. For de Saint Picman, a mixture of several ways and techniques of expression is very important to create a kind of interwoven knitted reality between classical and modern, archaic and contemporary, involving music, poetry and dance performances.
