“Super Bloom,” is an immersive gallery experience by Quinn Faylor on view during Detroit Month of Design 2024. Their exhibition of meticulously crafted 3D sculptures and paintings are grounded in vibrant abstraction and imaginative world-building. Created through processes including CNC and lap joinery manufacturing, the sculptures' lively colors and dynamic forms draw viewers into an exhilarating realm, inviting reflections on personal identity as an assemblage of continuous parts.
“I view relationships as creative endeavors—equal parts fantasy, body, and voice.
This series of work explores the embodiment of queerness and celebrate the extraordinary potential within relationships. The symbolic lap joinery in these sculptures emphasizes balance and trust. These forms represent both personal and collective growth into new spaces. "'Super Bloom' represents a moment of transition—a spilling over, a coming out, and a recognition of both concluding chapters and new beginnings in my life."

In The Studio
"This work celebrates the self as an ever-evolving assemblage. I am grateful to be present in my body as it grows, stretches, and explores new spaces. Through this work, I invite others into a shared experience and extend myself to them.”
