Alice Linford Forte was born in England and moved to Western Australia at the age of two. She grew up and studied in Margaret River before returning to the UK in 2009 to work, travel and pursue her career as an artist. Over the years she has based herself between Morocco, Indonesia, UK and her hometown in Australia. Alice returned to her Margaret River home in 2020 and where she is currently based with her family.

On Alice's return to Australia she has been absorbed in developing her abstract style, introducing new colour palettes and techniques, always drawing inspiration from Australia’s landscape and the sea. Her works often embody the wild, stormy coastlines and dramatic skies, her paintings capture the turbulence and drama in landscape that surrounds her.

Alice uses oil paint, the nature of the medium allows her to work in layers and either erase or sculpt textures in the paint with the use of a thinning medium. At any given time she might have about 10 artworks on the go as each layer needs days in between to allow drying time. Alice likes to experiment in her process "every now and again I dabble in more figurative painting, but abstract is what enables me to really let the imagination wander."

Alice's development as an artist is going from strength to strength, as her portfolio grows as does her audience. She is now gaining recognition not only in Australia but Singapore and the UK. She is definitely an emerging artist to add to the collection and to keep an eye on as she gains international acclaim!
