Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Buenos Aires

Collector Aldo Rubino’s wish to house his collection of geometric abstraction became a reality in September 2012, when the Museum of Contemporary Art of Buenos Aires opened its doors. The design of the museum, which is located in a building with simple lines and restrained materials, enhances the art on view. A programme of exhibitions aims to expand the knowledge about the artists in the collection, and build a network of cooperation with leading international institutions. MACBA-Fundación Aldo Rubino undertakes the new challenge of considering abstraction as a language contemporary artists resume, with the purpose of turning it into a field of research within the social landscape.
