In 2017, the 'Holy Cow' installation
emerged in Kuttekoven, Belgium. This
work featured a 450 cm polyester sculpture
of a cruciûed cow poised before a 5000-liter
milk bath, staged within an abandoned
church.
s It profound symbolism provoked international
interest, escalating into news headlines
due to protests and acts of vandalism.
The arrest of a priest, arson in a chapel, and
repeated attacks on the installation within
the church underscored the contentious
nature of the project.
The subsequent pages offer insights into
artworks intimately linked with the 'Holy
Cow' installation
