Kae Yoshimura

Gallery Yukiko Nakajima is pleased to present the solo exhibition Kae Yoshimura.
Born in 1942. The artist creates beautiful black grains and gradations with aquatint, creating a quiet and mysterious world of inner light and darkness, expressing poetic sentiments that are difficult to describe Looking at his works makes one feel calm and serene. The content of the painting matches the technique of expression (aquatint). Memories of the past flow from the heart, immersing the viewer in a poetic and emotional world of storytelling. Human memories must be similar to Yoshimura's paintings. Although there are memories of going to the sea or riding a bicycle, the memories of these places often have no clear outlines and are often unknown. As time goes by, the memories seem to become more and more difficult to grasp, until in the end they disappear. Yoshimura's works seem to express people's memories as they continue to fade.
