Jan Kaláb is an urban artist whose creative journey began in 1993 amidst the vibrant streets of Prague. Driven by an inexhaustible creativity, his career has been marked by a continual expansion of artistic boundaries, exploring and innovating with a variety of mediums and techniques. Initially, Kaláb transformed his tag "Point" into wall bas-reliefs, gradually evolving towards increasingly abstract and geometric sculptures, creating urban installations of significant visual impact. Over the years, the artist extended his exploration to canvas painting. While maintaining his distinctive geometric and abstract language, he began to cover surfaces with modular forms such as cubes, rectangles, and circles, with the latter becoming central elements in his works. This evolution allowed Kaláb to explore the relationship between painting and sculpture, creating a rich and complex dialogue between two-dimensional surfaces and three-dimensional volumes.
